Materials & machining

What I can make

Parts are machined on a PrintNC V4, a CNC mill that also cuts metal. Here are the materials it handles and what it can do.

Materials

Filter by type. Not sure your material is suitable? Write to me.

Carbon fiber

In stock

High-strength, ultra-lightweight carbon fiber. contact me for specific material data.

Thicknesses: 1.5,2,3 mm

Aluminium 6082 (Anticorodal)

In stock

6082 alloy (Anticorodal): light, strong and corrosion resistant — brackets, plates, mounts.

Max thickness: 20 mm

Polyethylene PE-1000 (UHMW)

In stock

PE-1000 (UHMW): tough, self-lubricating and wear resistant — rails, sliders, bushings.

Max thickness: 30 mm

Structural steel

On request

Standard structural steel for sturdy parts: brackets, plates and mounts. The material is in stock, the required endmills to cut it will be bought at the first order.

Max thickness: 5 mm

Other aluminium and mild steels

On request

Other aluminium alloys and mild steels, ordered on request.

Wood and plywood

On request

Wood and plywood for furniture, jigs, templates and prototypes.

Other plastics

On request

Other machinable plastics: acetal (Delrin), HDPE, acrylic.

In stock in stock, ready to machine. On request I order it before starting (slightly longer lead time).

Need a thickness above the stated maximum, or different from those listed? That is possible: the material is ordered in for the job, so allow for delivery time before production can begin.

Machine and precision

  • Machine PrintNC V4 CNC mill (metal capable)
  • Machining 2.5D milling + 3D surfacing flat and contoured surfaces
  • Precision 0.1 mm positioning
  • Max size 610 × 900 × 100 mm X × Y × Z

How I work

From your file

Send a STEP model (or another format SolidWorks can open) and I machine it as designed.

I help with the design

No 3D model? I can help you build one — I work with standard parametric modelling every day.

Finishing and delivery

Deburring included. Typical lead time 3–4 days. Shipping within Italy, local pickup available.

Good to know

  • Positioning accuracy around 0.1 mm — fine for brackets, plates, panels and prototypes.
  • Parts up to 610 × 900 × 100 mm.
  • Mild steels yes; hardened steels and exotic alloys cannot be machined.
  • Both flat 2.5D work and contoured 3D surfaces are possible.
  • Single parts welcome — no minimum order.
